Hornady 223 seating die with micrometer head

Does anyone have this seating die and can explain the proper way to set it up?
Same question for the RCBS competition seating die with the extended shell holder?

Put a sized case in the shell holder and raise the ram all the way. Screw the die in until you feel it hit the case neck...this is the crimping part of the die. I don't crimp while seating, so I'll back the die out about one full turn or until the numbers on the micrometer are facing front.

Check out the Hornady quick change die bushings. You can setup the die once and be done with it.
