This Remington 700 is from the same craftsmen who built the cover pictures on the September, 2001 edition of Precision Shooting Magazine. It is nearly identical in appearance to the rifle at the top of the cover and was painted by the same person. It started life as a Remington 700 ADL, the action was trued, the ejector removed, a single shot follower glued in. The barrel is a heavy varmint, 1:14 twist Hart, chambered in No Neck Turn 6BR with a custom muzzle break that is removable. There is no screw protector , however. The action is bedded and the barrel free floated. It has a Jewell Trigger at about 3 oz. Kelby scope rings and base are included. The trigger guard is believed to be Oberndorf. The stock is end grain walnut with a custom painted design based on Hopi Indian Pottery designs with Clear Coat on top. It is a bench rest type stock with a 3" forend. It comes with an aluminum plate for the buttstock if you wish to replace the attached recoil pad. The owner stated it shot in the 0.2's and 0.3's with a good load and conditions, and has slightly less than 200 rounds down the pipe. The Precision Shooting magazine will come with the rifle.
