Hopewell Fish and Game will have a public ground Hog Shoot on 9/22/19. 50% split, 100 200 & 300 yards, registration begins at 8am, shoot begins at 9. Stewartstown Pa.

Yes I misspelled “hog”, but I can’t figure out how to change the heading

thank you so much. I took it over from the guys who did it for around 18 or so years. We had our first last month and it went well. We got a late start this year as I did not get the shoot until late in the season. Hope to see some non-club members there.

Question, what prompted to allow aftermarket stocks in factory class?

I took over the Ground Hog Shoots and know that it is most common to change out a inferior factory stock with an aftermarket stock. We did not feel that the addition of a $100 or so stock should jump you into the custom class competing with 4K+ rifles. It was also noted that many of the other clubs have made this change. We also hoped to draw in shooters that might not be shooting because their aftermarket stock was putting them into the custom class

That flat bottomed stock will definitely give an advantage. Many of the other clubs? Which ones beside Shippensburg?

I should make an addition that no target style stocks are allowed. We have only been at this a few months and are trying to set up a fair base of ground rules. Changes can and will be made as needed. I appreciate constructive criticism.

That should be clarified before someone goes out an puts a $600 stock on their rifle.
