Hollow point problem

Been loading for a while, never any problems loading 9mm, I use berry's hollow base everything always perfect, bought some Sierra king hollow point. Everything is the same except after I seat the bullet perfect length but when I put it in the case gauge ammo checker it doesn't go down all the way, I changed crimp and seating still doesn't fit,I tried loading it in my gun doesn't quite seat all the way in the barrel. Any suggestions?

Thanks it seats ok now I don't know if there's a problem length went from 1.12 what it calls for to 1.07 your opinion will there be q problem, I don't think so but I want to ask

Mo that amount of adjustment is quite normal. 9 MMs can be picky about COL.
Thanks I'll test tomorrow, trying some 223 subsonics want them chronoed at about 1050fps titegroup is the best powder for this, 80 grain bullets and 5.2 of titegroup staying at just below 1100 fps titegroup is consistent

Sierra 5th edition 9mm luger
90 gr hp 1.010 coal
115 hp 1.050
125 gr hp 1.075
No 80 gr reference in this edition.
80 gr. For the 223 I have 115 gr. berry's hollow base sierra 125gr hollow point berry's 147 gr. Fmj got hodgdon on my desktop really helps,I seated the hp till it slid in the gauge perfect a little shorter,it should be ok

Berrys and Sierra are different bullets(besides plated vs jacket), powder charge weight and coal(bullet seating) and crimping are different. Use Sierra data for your loads using Sierra bullets. COAL and powder charges.

Just another question the oal calls for 1.090 my bullet is 1.05 sits in the gauge checker perfect should it be ok if so I'll test tomorrow
2 things, are the bullets .355 or .357 , and use the barrel that they will be shot out of. Never seen a single round fired from a case guage.
.355

.355 sierra 125 jhp

Sierra 1.075 for the 125 hp
Berrys 1.130 147 gr FP
Berrys 1.160 147 gr RN
I check that my sized/flared case will drop into my ammo checker and my pistol barrel. And I check all finished/crimped ammo drop fits the barrel. Bullet manufacturers coal has always worked for me.

First thing to do would be to cover the entire cartridge with Sharpie ink and chamber it several times (fully, if you don't mind pounding it back out.) That should show you where the interference is. I'd guess the ogive is being forced into the lands and you need to seat a bit deeper. Remember that the final COAL is a suggestion, and will vary depending on the bullet profile and particular chamber.

Sierra 125 gr hp made 10 rounds all are 1.065 your opinion?

If your flare and sizing is correct they should plunk load test properly. Safe powder charge is still a requirement. I'm at 1.060 with Hornady 115 xtp (I believe, don't have my notes here.). I wouldn't run any shorter overall length, your minus 0.010 already.
