Hogdgon Reloading Data

:-XFor those who may not be aware, Hodgdon has a great website offering much reloading data across multiple powders, bullets and calibers.

The link is:

http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/

It's a nice additional source of information.

I am sure it is has good info, but since they changed from the old site/info, my computer will not open the information. I get an error message when I click on "get data".
In my case, I have lost out

Hi, Kmart -

Just out of curiosity, have you checked your browser's pop-up blocker to make sure it is "off"?

Not sure why they changed to a new format. With the older version it was much easier to compare differences of bullet type and weight, powder types and charge weights, etc..

Hogdgon has also placed its January 2009 Basic Reloading Manual on-line at:

I turned it off and still no joy.

I don't know what all the whining is about. I just tried it out for the first time and was well served. Since I go to the site to look at powders that might work in certain cartridges I shoot, I like the setup as it is now, starting with the cartridge I am interested in loading. I have a 10 year old computer using the oldest windows version I can get to work on a dial up modem and had not trouble on a rainy day when all the telephone lines out here in the boondocks are wet and the best baud rate I could get was 28.8k--and it worked just fine..........

+1 Much preferred the old site. The new one is basically useless.

I guess I'm in the minority as I navigate the Hodgdon site easily and enjoy its set up.

Ok - i might as well jump in - if you look at the bottom of each category you can select "select all" -- then it brings up more data and looks similar to the old data, or you can select just one caliber or another, bullet weight and it just pulls up that data.
Best of both worlds??

BTW - i have one pc that opens it and one that didn't. i will see if i can figure out why.might try deleting the cache on the system that doesn't

You might try a different browser. That way you can find out if it is browser specific. Also some times Add-Ons like Ghostery and Adblock Plus can cause issues.

Works fine for me, just takes a couple times to get used to.

Thanks Pastime
A gentleman sent me a work around yesterday and now I can view it. I had called Hodgdon when the new one came out and they didn't have a clue

Your welcome KMart. Lots of good info there. Glad you got it ironed out.

FYI The US Gummint issued a security warning a few days ago (28 April), advising everyone stop using Microsoft's "Internet Explorer" immediately, until further notice, due to a serious security threat:

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/new-security-flaw-affects-all-versions-of-internet-84085229159.html

Alternative browsers include Mozilla's "Firefox" and Google's "Chrome". I use Firefox and it is easy to download and install - and it's widely supported - and free.

Just like the Gov, being there at the head of the line. I quit using IE years ago. First used Firefox and now Chrome. As always, Microsoft is following the pack and the Gov is a distant last.

FWIW, I have several computers with a variety of windows versions, the youngest of which is 9 years old, and all get to the Hodgdon site very quickly and easily. Must be a "local problem".
