My son drove to Florida from Maine to hang out with a Army friend he was in Afghanistan with. They planed on hunting the Apalachicola National Forest for hogs and coyote. But he said its loaded with people hunting with dogs cant seem to get clear of people. Knowing what I know about hogs if there is alot of pressure they can be very difficult to successfully hunt.
Can any of you recommend a area where he and one other could hunt? Public or privet? He dont need shelter he has that covered. His buddy lives in the Destin area but they are willing to travel.

They might give Lyke Brothers Cattle Ranch a call. I used to bowhunt hogs there with some buddy's that had leasesd some property from them. It was awesome. Hunted at night on corn trails with lights mounted on our bows.

I sent him the info. This may not be free but its the best option.

They are fairly inexpensive. No license and under a couple hundred with a "guarantee"?

Even cheaper if you do your own thing there. I have friends who flat out love the place. I have never been there but all who I have spoken with speak highly of "Two Guys and a Hog".

Not across the street. I just picked up 20,000 for $600

He found some property to hunt on. Around 1,000 acres with 14 feeders. The owners hunt deer and they allowed him to kill all of the hogs/coyotes he wanted for free. They consider hogs as a nuisance so it worked out well for both my son and the owners of the property.

This might be too far south for you: https://www.huntinghogsinflorida.com/ I've been there twice. They take you out on a SxS. They chase a pack of hogs until you get a good shot. Quick, easy and fun.

I also hunted https://razzorranch.com/ It's a big place. You'll see lots of wildlife. Kind of expensive. I sat over a feeder and watched a trophy hog chase everything else away for about 2 hours. He finally wandered off and I had over 10 nice hogs come in to feed.
