Anyone here from Stephenville/ Hico TX? Hog hunting question

Any of you hunt hogs in this area? I have a good friend that has a ranch in Iredell TX, near Hico, that I will be working/hunting on this winter. I love hunting hogs but most of the time they seem to be only a few on his ranch.

They prefer vegetation/cover and anywhere with water (creek, irrigation ditch, watering hole, etc). They prefer to travel along creek beds. This is where you want to set up and wait for them. During deer season the pigs will go nocturnal to avoid the hunting pressure.

If there isn’t a reliable food source then pigs will move on to find food. In location with marginal food, it helps to setup a feeder and have it throwing food year-round. If possible set up a feeder near source of water.
