Hodgdon LEVEREVOLUTION

I was snooping around today looking for the Superperformance Powder's Burn rate and noticed that the Leverevolution powder falls right in that middle burn rate of Varget and H380.
( the below is from the Web site Burn Rate Chart)
99. Hodgdon VARGET
100. IMR, Co IMR 4320 101. Winchester 748 102. Hodgdon BL-C(2)
103. Hodgdon LEVEREVOLUTION
104. Hodgdon H380
This might be a good choice for the 223, 308,6BR,243 Ect ect that like Varget powder. It is also in there Extreme line of powders as well.
Its not there targeted customer base it appears with the Name of Leverevolution. but hay what the heck.
Now I just need to find some to play with.

It is not a hodgdon extreme powder.
my son uses it in his grendel and it shoots one hole groups. Ive heard its very temp sensitive but i havent tested it myself

It's funny though, this was going around a little back then. It seems to have been forgotten about for a long time, and then in the last year I've seen multiple reports of it being an awesome powder for .308 and attaining screaming speeds without pressure signs. The downside being temp sensitivity

I use it in 6arc (gone!!!) And now 243lbc ar. It is a screaming powder and good accuracy. But, it is temperature sensitive.. I've noticed pressure between winter load work up and summer.(35° and 100°). But with pricing and availability decent, I'm interested in it for my 6 dashers, 22 bra and 22 arc..rsbhunter

I use GRT. Upon looking up load data for various cartridges I include Lever in my search. On paper ( my computer screen ) it's crazy what is it can do. Velocity & PSI. I have yet to put some of those to test . Other than in my Grendels. Which is great.

Fantastic in my 30-30s and 35 Remington and works surprisingly well in a few bolt cartridges too.

I'm looking at loading 223 w 64gr Nosler Bonded lead point. The discontinued pill.
GRT predicts w a close OBT with 27.7 gr of Lever ,std primer. 2.260. Claiming 2929 fps @ 50.5 k psi. 18" 1/9 bbl . AR platform. Will ladder it up to it and see,
Heck, anxious to try my new Xero C1 anyways.

I tried it in my 35 Whelen a few years back and got the wildest velocity swings I have ever seen. I loaded it at 4895 levels and got velocity from the mid-2400's (250 grain bullets) to the mid 2700's! I have not tried it since; in anything. WH

Just looked at GRT for a Whelen and a 250 Horn Sp #3520.
COAL 3.34 .
Suggesting 55.1 grn of Lever
2530 FPS @ 50 kpsi 89.4% fill . 24" bbl.

12 years later this comes back from the "dead".

Good reason but not good for some of us that use LeverRevolution. The name says 'LEVER". t is super in all my 30-30 Marlin rifles no matter the barrel length. But there is more.

Recently built a 600 yard competition AR15. Had an old target barrel cut and turned, drilled for the gas block and installed on the AR. 600 yard practice yesterday with LeverRevolution showed me 3" groups with 105gr. bullets in 6ARC at 2,750 fps.

The bad thing is if people read this, start buying it, the price goes up and the availability goes down. This thread could be hurtful.
