Hobson 4198 Powder

VV N120 is close. Seems like Hodgdons is playing a game of F around and find out. I would venture half the people i know have already jumped ship due to pricing and lack of product. I'm not sure how many would go back after spending the time to find and work through a replacement. Probably good for pricing in the long run for consumers but it seems that it's probably going to sting when they get product back out there and sales are flat.
I personally switched out half my powder supplies to VV many years ago and I am going to venture into to the Shooters World producs next. If I have to go there I probably would not go back... again.

If you want some sticker shock, go over to Graf’s and look at the price on popular Accurate powders this morning. This doesn’t look good.
I think they showed a pound of IMR 4350 at $60+.

About the same as hobsons other powders. Wasnt long ago they were some of the cheapest out there.

Bill, I found the CFEBLK good initially. It tended to get erratic on me later on with a different lot.

Just like everything else.
We use a 2x3 high pressure pipe bushing. Was selling them for $44. Reorder the same thing cost is now $77.
How much is the increase per shot?

4 1/2 cents a shot on 24 grain load for 223 with AA2495.
Thats the difference between current 8# Graf’s vs PV.

Shooting is my hobby.
I don't drink, smoke or have a fishing boat or other high dollar hobbies.
I enjoy shooting so that's where my hobby money goes.
The price of everything is up. Just wait until the middle east heats up more or Taiwan happens.
Then most rifle power will be unavailable at any price.
We like to shoot as a family.

I've got about 2lbs of H4198 I'll sell, but I'm in Minnesota. I also have an 8lb and 2 one pounders of H4895 I'd part with, but not easily.
