Highpower temporary Score Card

Does anyone have a PDF of a Temporary score card book? I need to record some scores my son shot so he can get classified correctly. He is hesitant to shoot if he always has to be in the master class. I told him he will get his card soon, but this is a way of getting him to shoot against shooters of the same ability level and not discourage him.

I ordered some from the NRA, but they have not arrived yet- been a couple of weeks and we have shoots coming up pretty quick.

Thanks

It's probably not a big deal unless you are shooting some really major matches. Just have him tell the match director; "I don't have a card yet, but I've shot 2 matches so far and both were Sharpshooter scores, can I shoot in the sharpshooter class?" I'd almost guarantee that it won't be a problem, I know it wouldn't if I were running the match. If he proceeds to shoot a 789 or something after that, it might get weird...

Also, if he's shot enough to get classified, he may already be even if he doesn't have a card. You can type his NRA # into their classification lookup system and it will show up if its there. I can't get a link from my phone here, but google "NRA Classification lookup" and it'll come right up.

Good luck,
Erik

In the past from what I remember, and that was years ago when I went for the classification, the NRA classification card is the only official document that will change the shooter's class. Until he gets the card from the NRA, the match director would most likely keep him in Master Unclassified.

A few problems sometimes that keep the shooters from getting their due class change; The Match Directors are delinquent in submitting results to the NRA, other club submit the season match results as tournaments, therefore scores are accumulated till the end of their season tournament then submitted, in other clubs their matches are not even NRA matches, they just follow the NRA format. Our club high power do no submit results to the NRA, nor do we pay the NRA we maintain our own records and assign classification consistent with the NRA's but our new shooters remain MU in the NRA matches till they get their official card.

Thanks guys and Thank You to effendude for the help. Don't want to discourage a new shooter over something as silly and as easily fixed as a classification.
