Highpower match sight questions?

So I've read that you can have a lens in either front or back, but not both. Say you get a right sight with lens; does a polarizer in the rear sight then count as a second lens?
Do you notice a bloop tube acting like a tuner?
How critical is it to get the exact sight radius for expected adjustments for your rear sight? Like Warners say 35.81", what if you only had 30.0"? It seems like the two options for a bloop tube would be 4" or 6" giving me 34" or 36" sight radius? Which would you pick?
Thanks,
Ken

I only shoot smallbore but it should be the same,,you need to test your adjustments at different sight radius,,it will be finer if long and courser if short,,you just need to know what it is,,what I run into with really long sight radius is the front has to be much larger to get enough white around the bull,,then add a .3 or .5 diopter and it will need to be larger again,,,

with a 27 inch barrel 6 inch bloop tube and a .5 lens I would need something like a 6.5-9.0 mm adjustable front to shoot the TQ4 at 100 yards,,

Only one way to find out and that's shooting at known ranges. 200, 300 and 600 yds. As for the diopter, for me the .5 was a little strong at the closer ranges (200-300 yds) and I took it out. Depending on the day and lighting conditions a .3 worked better at 600. Saved the .5 for 8, 9, and 1K ranges.

The rule has changed, you are allowed to use a lens in front and another in the rear. Color filters and diopters do not count as lenses. Personally I use a -0.50 in front and a +0.25 in the rear for Long Range. In addition you may have a correction lens in your glasses (I correct for astigmatism).
Micro-sights will not work with any magnification lens anywhere in the optical path.

The main reason for a bloop tube is to place the front sight farther forward so it will remain in focus for those of us with aging eyes not to adjust the sight radius to hit an exact click value. I have various match rifles with different barrel lengths, sight radius and calibers. From a 32" palma rifle to a 22' space gun. they all have 1/4 min. sights but I couldn't tell you what the exact click value is on any of them It's more important to know your elevation come ups as you move back during a match, then any clicking you do will be to adjust for the wind or tweak elevation. I would guess most experienced highpower shooters fall into this area.
