Highly Addictive and No Known Cure!

My old girlfriend's father had a debilitating stroke and had to auction off his collection and reloading stuff. Two day auction at the county fairgrounds. Over 300 guns each day! Plus another days auction at his place to sell off his tractors, metal shop tools, and other stuff they could not take with them when moving back into town. However he did not have an addiction as the rest of us do:D.

Thats nothing. you havent evem skimmed the top of it yet. you got tons of upgrading to do. stop buying lower end stuff and buy the high end first time around. saves money in the long run. I wish I would have asked before I bought a lot of things getting started...

wait till you get to the point you gotta build a new house to incorperate a reloading room into the house because you have so much shit..

I have a 8'x 10' reloading room in the house. I just went through a thinned things out a bit and took 3 full totes of stuff to the garage. Now I have room to walk again. 2 gun safes and a cabinet full of powder, about 10,000 rounds of loaded ammo, and 12 pull our drawers under the table/desk, plus a closet that has metal shelving top to bottom. And a computer with 2 printers and a small fridge. God help us all if the house catches fire. They will think North Korea set off a small nuke over here!

I now know the true meaning of "spend spend till your pockets end"

It starts out innocently enough. Buy a new rifle, get in to reloading, then a total focus and more stuff but beware of the dreaded *SIDS or *HIDS disease. I've had a few friends succumb to it's insidious clutches and it cost them dearly.
I notice you don't have the book, Bible of Shoulder Bumping, written by one of our more illustrious members. Definitely a must read. :p

Is that where you put a socket over the shoulder and hit it with a hammer? Hard being precise but I can judge to the nearest 1/2 inch. The hammer also works for a primer installer and bullet seater. "Don't need none of those fancy store-bought tools!"

lot of duplication between your shop and mine--even some of the unbranded stuff. But since you have the collet bullet puller you need to give that blue hammer away. --Jerry

I only use it if I happen to get a bullet seated a couple thousandths too deep, I can move it a little and reset without damaging the neck tension. Always had a fear of pulling live rounds with the impact hammer, expecting a BIG boom at any time.

It works and is safe. But it is messy. Collet puller pictured is the way to go. --Jerry

Had so much stuff in the house wife felt unsafe. She "made" me buy a insulated building to move everything into, out of the house. Best thing she ever "made" me do. Now i can bet her home, get the new stuff, and put it away without explaining to her what it is and why i have to have it!

You know your addicted when your day starts checking the for sale section on this site then make your way over to MidWay to see what your missing. I swear I get new credit card offers just to keep up with the reloading bill.

I've had 3 new fairly large electronic scales on my desk in the reloading room in plain site. The FX and a larger balance that was 13" tall. She never asked what they were or how much they cost. PROOF, they can be trained but it took 40 years.

I did leave the gun safe open one day, she ask when did you get that many!!! I played it off, ask her when did she get some many shoes and cloths. That ended conversation. Somethings are better left unknown!

Trained?? If you have secret please share!!!! I just dont disclose all info!

I guess after so many years, they just give up. Complaining doesn't work anymore and that goes both ways. We have been doing some house de-cluttering and I didn't say anything about her 40-50 handbags. No kidding! Why that many? Be safe and just don't ask! ... Or instead of asking how much it cost, just say "Looks nice dear."

We "I" dont do de-cluttering. I go to my "man cave" and leave it to her "dont ask" if we did de-cluttering i would have to let of things that "i need"

You guys got me looking at my reloading stuff. What really got to me was the size of my STDW box. (S^%# that don't work) oh man!!!
