Highly Addictive and No Known Cure!

When I got into reloading a few years ago I bought a cheap Lee aluminum press reloading kit, 4 Lee dies, a Lee case trimmer, and a Franklin Arsenal tumbler. The Lee scale went into the trash in about a week replaced with A Hornady beam scale. I already had a micrometer and a dial caliper. That was it for a while. Then I caught the dreaded disease. Had to have more! For fun I pulled out just my .308 reloading tools and took a picture of most of them, and pasted a picture together of the larger tools. It has gotten ridiculous. I've heard of A/A. Do they have an R/A, "Reloaders Anonymous"? My wife says I need help! I would imaging there are many of you that have much more than this.

And I'm also setup to reload .223, 9mm, .40 cal, .38 Special, and .380 ACP.

Hey T,
You ain't alone. I've given away or thrown some of my original reloading equipment in the trash. And to follow up and add insult to jury, my second go around of JUNK didn't take long. In fact, I have an excellent door stop in the form of a HORNADY concentricity gauge that I just can't bring myself to screw over another member by selling that POS to anyone. And finally I've learned to buy the quality stuff which hasn't helped my addiction whatsoever. When I started out, nobody ever talked about the slow (but sure) development of an insatiable craving for more. But at least I no longer have to make a B line to the trash can when leaving the range so as not to embarrass myself with targets looking like a shotgun was used. But I have discovered, there is simply no cure for the disease we share. So why fight it....spend more, shoot more and leave the range smiling. Beats sitting on my azz in front of the TV and listening to the news all days and get depressed. We, my friend, are TERMINALLY ILL!

All you guys are just crazy. No addiction here........hey wait I dont have one of them I better check the Form.

WTF, you mean you let her anywhere near your bench ?
Modify that ^ and keep acquiring loading gear to match or better her shoe and handbag collection. :)
She doesn't mess with my gun stuff, I don't mess with her shoes and handbags. No kidding, we have been cleaning out the house before we're referred to as hoarders and we took 2 large plastic totes of handbags (compressed loads) to store in the garage. Now she only has 5 or 6 in the house. And shoes???, who knows?

What no auto throw/auto trickler for the FX yet?
Thinking about it. It would work like my Hornady Autocharger except be accurate to 2/100g, not 3/10+g. It was a gift so I have to keep it but it's not very accurate. I use it set .1 to .2 grains light and then reweigh and trickle up with the FX.

I'm lucky. My wife grew up with a grandfather that was a fairly well known gunsmith, and surrounded by a family of shooters. I just get new stuff, it shows up, she asks what it is and shrugs it off. I'm just waiting till she starts doing the same to me with who knows what.

I always though it was an investment.

when I was a younger man, I liked to gamble,(cards) win some, loose some. I was not a good loser. I would say to myself, I could have bought that gun I wanted with the money I just lost. so I quit gambling, but if I had the urge, I would go buy a gun instead. now I have something to show for my addiction.

It starts out innocently enough. Buy a new rifle, get in to reloading, then a total focus and more stuff but beware of the dreaded *SIDS or *HIDS disease. I've had a few friends succumb to it's insidious clutches and it cost them dearly.
I notice you don't have the book, Bible of Shoulder Bumping, written by one of our more illustrious members. Definitely a must read. :p
