Good afernoon,
Are there any forum members in or near Hibbing?
When I am not shooting, my interest is the final resting places of New Zealanders killed in conflict. According to records, a Frank Banks, who was born in Wellington, NZ died in an aircraft accident in 1919 while serving with the USAAS as an instructor. Burial records have him in the North Cemetery, Hibbing. Strangely, the authority do not have him as a Veteran on their database.
I would appreciate if someone could have a look for me - does he have a headstone?
I drove past the area a few years ago, when photographing the US and Canadian graves - but this fellow had not come to light at the time. Many thanks. Derrick (www.nzwargraves.org)
