I have a Herters U9 in .264 Win Mag and am looking for a new stock. I think I need a long action, but any info I find says a long action is 8.5 inches. Is that the action length or distance between action bolts. The holes on my stock are 8 inches apart. This action was made by BSA. Any info would be appreciated.
