Here we go, Cheap $cope$

I know that with optics you gerenally get what you pay for.
Christmas is coming and I always buy my employee's rifles.
( any good Auto tech's looking? )

I scored a deal on a Savage 12BVss in 30-06 for my son and need an in-expensive target scope. I'd like a side focous model but have never spent $200-$400 for a scope before.

I'm NOT giving him any of my sightrons, weavers, of burris scopes. He can buy his own expensive scope later if he wants one.

I'm getting another one of my guy's a Savage 10 FCP-K in 308 if I can pull off the deal in time, and that will need a scope as well.

My most junior guy will get a savage 111"package gun" in 30-06 to get his feet wet in the center fire world. Those come with a scope.

I ordered one of these for a friend, to put on a 10-22 and was amazed when I looked through it. If I were looking for an inexpensive scope, I would try one.

That's why it's important to have your profile filed out.....I always gave cash at Christmas, er.... one year I got one of the guys a truck (used, of ebay) but any one who thinks of others at any time of the year is a GOOD PERSON and will be rewarded for it some how in the future.

Anyway, drybean he's in NH by his profile.

The Nitrex line has been discontinued.....no longer made. I wonder what Weaver will replace it with should one need fixin' under their lifetime (non-transferrable) warranty....I doubt it will be a Grand Slam, or even a "Classic". Long Live Leupold....takes a likin' and keeps on a tickin'.

I have been pretty impressed with the new redfield (now a company of leupold) scopes. Also the nikon pro staff is decent for the money, but not as clear as the redfield. If you're looking for a side focus you could step up to the nikon buckmaster which is a great scope also for the money. I have owned/used all of the above with positive feedback on all them.
