Here WE GO!!! 600 Yard Shooter of the Year We have a Shake up!

We have a NEW leader and he made a move in a BIG way. Steve Hoskins picked up a whopping 31 points this weekend at Hunters Pointe. Matt Koohy also shot Hunters Pointe and Picked up 3 points. While back at the ranch yours truly (Bart Sauter) headed to Georgia to shoot at the Red,White & Blue range picking up 15.

When the dust settled “Mr” Hoskins with a total of 138.5 pulled 18 points clear of the field. While “Mighty” Matt Koohy and Bart Sauter are tied for second place with 120.5 points!

For those just tuning in things are getting interesting! The season is winding down not too many more SOY matches remaining. Steve has reached the 14 match limit. So he is fighting a little up hill since only your Best 14 matches count. Matt has a total of 12 matches and has some room before he has to discard matches. While I have 9 matches on the board. I’d have more if I would quit dq-ing (twice).

The next showdown is in two weeks at Memphis. There should be plenty of shooters and heavy hitters in attendance! Grab your guns and come join us!

Yes Best 14 matches. The Nationals doesn’t count against your 14. World records are worth 3 point.

Knew about the 14 but did not know you could shoot in more and throw out your lower point total matches.

Same for the DQ issue. Not sure how that works as even if DQ'd on part of a match I thought you could still get points for other parts that would add to the total.
Never really took notice of that issue in the rules.

Yes it’s your best 14 matches. Shoot as many matches as you like. But only your best 14 count.

Whatever points you acquire before you Dq still count. So say you picked up 4 points in LG but Dq’ed in HG you still get your 4 LG Points. Or you DQ in LG, you are still eligible to get points in HG.
