Neck turning on BR brass turn into the shoulder or not. Seems to be different opinions

I turn mine into the shoulder maybe a couple thous. just barley feel with my finger nail.

BR brass or not (I shoot long- and mid-range NRA) by allowing you neck-turning cutter to reach just to the shoulder a little bit you're assured the entire neck length is trimmed evenly as well as thinning just a portion of shoulder brass that otherwise may eventually migrate up into the neck. This may contribute to "donut" formation (or not, depending upon whom you talk to) which is easily and wisely avoided.

All this assumes your neck-turning cutter's profile has the correct angle at the secondary cutting edge for the brass you're turning.
