You should probably stay with one overall length while working on the charge. Find the load at that length that gives the best results then start changing the OAL. I would suggest starting at .02 off the lands and move in from there.

First photo looks great but i agree with moajoe. OAL should be same so we will know which grain of powder is best for your rifle.

Factory SPS? Wholly crap!!! Shoot pic 1 and count your blessings!! I know, though. Ya got the bug. Nice shooting!

It is hard to tell with what you have posted changing seating depths. Change one variable at a time. I'd recommend that most folks start either jambed or .010 off and do load testing, then do your seating depth tests to determine what works best for your setup.

Too many variables and not enough information to draw a conclusion. Need 5 groups of 5 shots minimum to make an accurate decision. You are using your groups as a ladder test. Nice shooting by the way. Were you using wind flags?

Try 2.825 for mag length and use the exact "accuracy load" from the Sierra manual and then see what you have... Great Shooting, but... Might even see better results from mag-length loads. Then you have an accurate rifle you can shoot in repeater mode. Wouldn't that be better?

If happy with a single shot then move to a 6mm or .22 if tight groups are your focus. .308win will beat you up with recoil due to powder charge and bullet weight. Probably will need a better barrel to get much more from your .308 remington, but if rebarreling, there are other more advantageous ctgs you could choose.

How does it shoot in terms of 5rd groups at 200yds?

Congrats on the extra nice results from your factory rifle!

What Hogan said. I run a few of my repeater rifles this way , Load to mag length and keep bumping the powder till it comes together where you want it.
