Help with Thermal, night coyote hunting?

Hello and thanks in advance, looking advice on a thermal scope for night hunting coyotes here in KY. Would like to keep the budget around $2k or less.
Thanks,
Mitch

The best thermals close to your price will be the hogster, super hogster, AGM rattler scopes. Cheaper scopes can be found, but they won't be as good.
Check prices at midway usa, other online thermal dealers.
Pal has the super hogster, but it was 2700$, he has shot coyotes to 300 yds with it

I have the AGM Rattler ts35. I have been more than happy with it. I did a lot of research and comparing before deciding on that model. I believe the Rattler ts25 is almost identical except it has a lower base magnification. I believe it sells for right under $2k. That would be my choice in that price range.

You also might want to take some time and do some research into what you can realistically expect for useful range and resolution. There are some pretty good video comparisons out there.

Keep in mind that at that price point you aren't likely to be getting ranging capability. Just something else to consider.

I use a Trail XP50 from Accurateordnance and have killed at a distance of 419 yards. The majority of my shots are between 200 and 300 yards away from the target. I never increase the PIP power to 12.8x. My usual setting is 3.2x. Occasionally I go up to 6.4x.
