Help with scope selection

Well, Putting together a budget build 6br. Picked up a shilen varmit from a member here, putting it on a savage.

Gun will be for target shooting only. 100-300 yards mainly with 5 shoots this year at f class mid range at 3,5 and 6.

So budget is some concern, really looking at the fixed scopes because of this. The weaver or sightron 36 was my first thought. But also weaver 24

Was thinking the 8-32 siii would be okay too but a bit too much $. How are the sii

Any models I missed or should be looking at? Or other scope recommendations for my intended use. I plan to zero at 300 and dial up for 5 and 6

I don't think that you will go wrong with either one. The S2's are nice scopes also. See if there is anywhere close to you that has them in stock that you can peek thru.

the 36x weaver is a very good scope & priced good/ but your stuck with the power / i think id go with s111 for the money& a varable power plus / cant comment on the s11 but i have had several weavers 36x all good & have a8x32x56 &10x50x60 s111 now all good for the price regards shooter63

Thanks guys, well do think the sightron might be in my future. Anyone have one for sale? There were a couple I missed in the classifieds Maybe I will post there too.

I have picked up two SIII variables in the past year when Natchez Shooter's Supply ran good sales with pretty deep discounts. Keep your eyes out for sales from the mail order/internet dealers - sometimes you get lucky if your timing is right. :D
