Help with custom barrel?

Can someone help identify the maker of a custom .22RF barrel? It is marked “TRGC 87” near the receiver end of the barrel. It’s a straight taper, .860 across (x2 for diameter, so a little more than 1.5” in diameter).
Any thoughts on who made the barrel?
Thanks!

The barrel is mounted to an Anschutz 64 MS silhouette rifle. What makes you think it’s a Sako barrel? Thanks

Sako TRG popped up when I tried figuring out your question.... No joy on any of the search engines I tried.

Sorry....

1.5” diameter even at the breech end is a really heavy barrel for a 64 action.

Also, chrome-moly or stainless?

This is interesting...maybe a photo or two?

See attached pictures. I agree, the 64 action is pretty dainty for such a heavy barrel. She sure shoots, though. 3 shots at 50 yards, with just 24x scope. The target before the pictured one was 1/4”

Could that be the gunsmith that installed it instead of the barrel maker? i dont see alot of barrel makers that mark their barrels like that.

Not much to back this up, but that looks like a Walther barrel blank. Major diameter matches at 1.5" and the crown is the same as on my Walther KK300 as it also appears blued.

Again, speculation only.

Here is an SK lead bullet I pulled, then slugged through the barrel. There are 6 grooves. Rifling appears conventional? Thanks

Diameter = c/pi
Where c is circumference
Pi is 3.1417

measured with a string, we get 2.90/3.1417 = .923”

measured with fishing line, we get
2.875/3.1417 = .915

allowing for some slop in string/line, the barrel has a diameter of around .910-.920”
