Help with choosing a 280 AI die set

I am looking for a 280 AI die set to start reloading with and I have a few questions.

First off, I would like to stick with some type of micro seater die and a full length sizer die.
I have never worked with a bushing die and I have no idea as to where to start with one.
I would prefer to not have to turn the case necks at this point.

So my first question is would I have to do so with a Reddng bushing type sizer?

I have used the standard Redding dies and changed the seating stem to a VLD micro stem,
but I didn't know if there was a better way to load for this AI.

For full disclosure, I have a Rockchucker press, going to use Nosler brass, and wanting to use the Berger 168 VLD Hunting bullets.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!
And I'm sure I will have more questions as this discussing goes on.

Thank you!!

Read up, and then decide whose and what sort of dies might best suit your circumstances.

Thanks for the link, that helps explain things and answered a few of the questions I had.

Keep in mind that there TWO versions of the 280 AI... the plain ol' version that has been around forever, the new-ish Nosler version, which is just a few years old.

The Nosler version's headspace is about 20 thou shorter than the old one - talk to Redding - they have both die sets available for now, but they are phasing out the old one.

Go talk to widden about a die for the nosler brass. There is a 14 thou difference between the two. The nosler brass is 14tho shorter then th old 280AI
