Help with Berger 6.5cm

Hello,

I have a box of Berger 140g hybrid in 6.5 that I’m planning on loading in my creedmoor, but you have to buy the Berger book (from what I’ve seen to get the load data). Would someone help me out who has the book and post a pic of the data. I’d really appreciate it, and it would save me $50. Thanks. Also, if anyone has any thoughts on a good load, it’s going in a Bergara HMR, I’d appreciate that too! Thanks!

You should be fine selecting a load from any reloading manual for a 140gr bullet, as usual, start low and work your way up.

See if this helps, from the Hornady 11th Edition:

If you send Berger an email asking for load data for a particular bullet they will send you
a PDF with the data.

My 6.5 Bergara HMR shot excellent I just had to load bullets long because it had a
long throat, that may have changed so check.

What powder do you have available?

Please contact us at Support@capstonepg.com. or call 660-460-2802 from 8am to 4:30pm EASTEREN TIME MON through FRI. Also the 6.5 hybrid bullet load data is in the VOL 1 BERGER MANUAL. We also have unpublished data with more load data including the newer powders that have come out.

Wow! Thanks guys!!
I too am using a Bergara HMR. I have H4350, N555, staball 6.5 available, but I’m not beyond getting a different powder. I’ve heard H4350 is the golden standard. I appreciate all the replies! I’ll have to post back what length my throat is, but I’d like to stay in the mag if possible, though that might not be possible.

I`ve got a Bergara Premium Chassis 6.5 CM, it makes one hole 5 shot groups with H4350 & 140 143gr pill.

Let me know how that N555 works out. I`ve tried several testings with StaBALL6.5, i gave up on it.

The hmr stock uses "aics" pattern mags...
Factory mags are most likely plastic.
Which are fine but usually will hold you back in the overall loaded length for most Factory rifles chambers to get optimum jump.
Look into getting a metal mag without binder plate from "MDT" they make great stuff.
Pricy but good
