Ive got a new build here ready to shoot as soon as my scope gets here....but as I was finishing the stock I happen to notice something "wasnt right"..?? I had ordered this setup from the smith and had said I wanted a 26" barrel in the Rem varmint taper. What Ive got ..after measuring..is a 22" barrel with that taper.
Now...just how much velocity am I going to lose with this 6mmBR with 4" less barrel? Any amount to amount to doodlie squat? Accuracy? I intend on shooting "about" 105 gr slugs of various brands but will delve into say an 85 grainer or such to wipe out a grounghog at times. Will accuracy suffer any?
Anyway...Im trying to decide whether to keep the short barrel and run with it...or hould out till the smith can get me a 26 inches..???
