HELP with barrel length, contour, and weight!!

Hello to all! I have purchased a Rem 308 and am getting work done. I was wondering what combination of barrel length and contour is suggested for use in F-T/R? I know there is a weight limit, but without having all the components to weigh out individually, I want to make sure that I don't go over weight. I know I will be putting a NF BR scope on it and I believe that is 36oz plus rings and base. How much does a Rem 700 SA weigh? I was told once 2 lbs 4oz. I will be running the factory laminate stock for the time being and that I can unscrew and weigh. So my big concern is what length and contour of barrel. I will be purchasing a Brux. I am thinking a 29 or a 29 1/2 inch, with MTU taper. Is this good, or can a guy go with the full 30 or longer? Brux shows a 27" MTU to be at 7lbs. Any information or specs would be great! Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from anyone.

How far will you shoot? You should get a 30"-32" barrel if you plan on shooting out to 1K. With a 30" barrel, the MTU contour is a bit heavier than most will use, especially with a NF scope. Keep in mind the real answer is knowing how much all your components weigh including the bipod. If you are shooting less than 1K, then you can always chop the barrel to cut weight. I think a Krieger medium palma contour will be the most common barrel contour for F-TR: about 5.5lbs for 30" barrel

PS. a REM700 SA (w/o trigger or rail) is about 24oz.
