Hey I am looking to get into reloading for my .300 WSM. It is a browning m-1000 eclipse which is equipped with a 26" barrel with a 1 in 10" twist. For optics I have a Leupold VX-III 6.5-20x50mm LR scope. I currently shoot Winchester super X 180gr bullets out of it because they are very easy to come by. When I sighted the rifle in I shot a 3 shot group at 100 yards in 11/16". I am pretty happy with that but I want to do more long range shooting and as you all know that can get expensive. Also, the Winchesters were all over the place at 800 yards. I would prefer a bullet that is suited for hunting as well as long range shooting. What do you guys recommend? Heavier bullet or lighter bullet? powders etc? I am reading hornady's guide but I still could use some advice so any would be great, thanks.
