You’re correct, I was mistaken. I couldn’t remember where I had seen them and thought it was McMillan. There are many pictures of this rifle stock design in his Rifle Shooter book. He describes the design and construction in the book. Those are David Tubb stocks. Those look to have been spray coated, more than likely by Alex Sitman / MasterClass stocks.

Most definitely. Originally a custom David Tubb highpower specific stock.they’re for High Power “across the course” (200-300-600 yards, standing, sitting, prone).
Yeah. Just gotta look a little closer. My guess is they’re for High Power “across the course” (200-300-600 yards, standing, sitting, prone). The one on the left looks to have a stripper clip guide attached, while the one on the right has been milled for stripper clips. Both are set up for iron sight use.
A true Palma rifle would have a 30” or longer barrel. Hard to tell from the photos, but those barrels look shorter. Of course, they could be used for Palma, but I don’t think the barrels are optimal length
I paid about half that for a M70 match rifle Short action in an Anschutz stock. The is a bit of nostalgic resurgence of guys taking up the old stripper clip bolt guns and running XTC. After Legging out and making HM with a service rifle then going to match rifles with different calibers, It gets boring drilling X's with your T2K or an Eliseo tube gun.I could see that rifle selling for between $1700-$1900.00
Barrel checks out as 1-10”,only marks on barrel is 308 win.Alot were built 1-14" for the 168's, then it went to 1-13" for the 155's which I guess this one is, any barrel markings or smith effects price
I’m not aware of any xtc matches in my area and short range benchrest has got me hooked. I’d have to find the old lady a second job so I could afford another shooting sport. What are you going to do with it? Take up Across the Course shooting for sure. Rapid fire with stripper clips is a hoot!!
