Hello All,

I picked up some 155gr SMKHPBT and wanting to mix a recipe using IMR 4350 for 100-200-300yd matches.
The rounds will be coming out of a Remington 700, Bolt Action, 26" Criterion w/ 1-10 twist SS heavy varmit, Choate stock under a NF NXS 5.5-22x50 optic. I am currently shooting in F-Class and would appreciate some feed back from those of you who may have a load for this round or at least a good starting point.

Based on the projectile I'm assuming you're using a .308?
Why H4350?
Take a look here and see if this helps.

Varget , 4895 , 8208 , RL 15 Or Tac may be a better choice

IMR4064, IMR4320, Norma 203B, Viht. 140 or 150 as well...
If 4350 is the only powder you have or want to use try 45 gr. and work up but you may run out of room in the .308 case before you achieve a velocity you like. Hodgdon does not list a load with it as it is too slow for 155s. If you had any 175s 4350 would work well.

I'm liking IMR4166 so far. Still working with it, but I think it has good potential.

Too cold to go to the range today, but I'll have more results tomorrow.

Ok, you have everyone puzzled now. Why 30-06? It's a great round, please don't get me wrong. It has a big powder capacity that would be better for longer distance. If shooting F class, your looking at competing in F open. There are lots of smaller cartridges that would be more economical to load, and more accurate for that distance. I don't have a 6br, but would go that route for shorter ranges like that.

If your set on the 30-06, and imr 4350. Then use Hodgdon's web reloading site. You still have test which load shoots best for your rifle.

never mind . I was assuming ( making an ass out of u and me ) you were using a 308 . 4350 is a great choice , also assuming that you are not using a garand , in wich case revert to my first suggestion.
