Help choosing new scope

I just had a rifle built that seems like it could really shoot small groups. My 2 other favorite rifles both have Burris XTR ll scopes with G2B reticle. I mainly just clink steel and occasionally shoot groups, and that scope is great for that. I now really started to notice how thick the reticle is at full power and wish I had something different. I absolutely am spoiled by the zero stop and the ffp and don’t want to do without either. What scope is out there with zero stop and preferably ffp with thin lines for when I really want to try and shoot small at 600 yards and further. I normally always dial elevation and hold for wind. Preferably between $800-1500.
Thanks

I was kind of surprised at the equipment list for the 1000 yd bench rest at Vapor Trail. A lot more Sightrons than I expected. I wonder if they were 10-50? I had another member mention Sightron in a p.m.

Love my Sightron 10-50x60 at the 1000 yd line. and I use NF Comps also, however
like the Sightron just a little better with my eyes....Cant go wrong with either IMO..YMMV

I use Target dot and fine cross hair reticles only on all my scopes.
Sorry no help for you here. ( Helps me shoot small )

Is there any particular Sightron reticle that would be similar to an Nightforce moar or np-r2?
The NP-R1 and NP-R2 are very fine, very close to the MOAR-T, so I don't believe they were ever put into FFP scopes. The MOAR is much thicker, and so can be used in either FFP or SFP.

FFP is great for PRS, maybe for LR hunting, but other than that I would rather have SFP so I can get a very fine reticle. That is way more important to me than FFP, if I am trying to shoot precisely, which I almost always am.

With my scopes the less clutter the better. I want to see everything. Wind, mirages and flags... all while trying to hit a specific point

One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of the bench rest shooters tend to favor scopes with 1/8 MOA or 0.05 mil clicks so they can really fine tune their zero. My scopes are all like yours with FFP and zero stop, but none of them have the smaller clicks ... yet. Also you will find that a really thin reticle and FFP are sort of mutually exclusive, although some just have a tiny dot in the middle. If you had a reticle that appears fine at full power on an FFP scope, the reticle would become essentially invisible when you dialed out.

Really great responses, sort of what I had experienced in the past. I had a Nightforce benchrest with the np-r2, it was frustrating starting out because I would get lost in the turns or misguess the sub tensions at different powers more often than not and miss. I will probably have to settle for a sfp scope and learn subtensions better. Thanks for the advice, maybe someday they will invent that unicorn scope with it all.

Athlon Cronus. You can get a dot or a small crosshair in an open center, whichever you prefer. Built in Japan.Good turrets and glass. They did a good job sizing the reticle in a FFP scope IMHO. Cameraland has them for 1170 for a couple more days.

I have to say, I have a Slll 10x50 moa2 and wish I’d got the 8x32 with 1/8th clicks. I had a 32X and used the 32. The 50 is to much. I find I’m always dialed down to around 35. Now of course if I could afford an SVED then 50X might be good. And one 1/4 minute click at 600 is just a hair to much. It always seems my group is just sitting above the X ring and one click and it’s just below. This is shooting f-open with my 6BR that holds a really tight waterline.

At 600 yds i almost never dial past 35 however at a 1000 its a different story. I like to dial up to 45 and the back down as the ground starts to heat up with mirage...but Im still glad i have 50 if I need it especially first string
in the morning when its cool out...Thats when you can use all the power available.
