help - 34mm rings needed

Hi all

Am currently tearing my hair out and thrashing around my office in frustration, whilst trying to find low 34mm scope rings that will fit weaver bases. I don't need Badger or TPS tactical-style rings and am willing to pay for a custom set to be built.

Does anyone have any ideas on who to talk to, or who does custom ring builds?

Cheers

JustinP, Give me a call when you get a chance and we can discuss your 34mm ring needs 208-743-5538

You have the man's ear there.

Glen makes some outstanding rings and bases, I'd give him a call.

Couldn't agree more. Glen has made me a set of 34mm rings in the past - they are an excellent piece of kit and were well worth the wait, couldn't ask for better.

I've had a phone conversation with him today about adapting weaver bases so they'll fit and my 'smith will do a quick milling job and we should be squared away.

Glen's a helpful guy - he gets my thumbs up and recommendation

Cheers

Justin:

Why Not find yourself a set of heavy 30mm rings and just have a machine shop set then up in a 4 jaw chuck aligned with a precision ground stub. and bore them out to just smaller than 34mm then lap them the final amount.

This could be done on a mill with a boring head, or rotary table, or on a ID grinder as well.

This would not be rocket science.
