Heavy Weight Barrel and Bat M

Question for those that shoot heavy barrels. I have a Bat M. that is need of a new barrel. I think that I want to chamber the new barrel n 7RSAUM. Is the 1.250 dia straight 32” barrel too much weight for this Bat M Action?

You will get a few people say no problem personally I think it is to long for optimum performance to much weight on a shank length of what about a inch of threads.

Cant say about a 32 but I have a 31'' in a 284 Shehane that is weighted in the but and forearm and it works fine.

I had a 6br 30" 1.25 straight on a Bat MB. Bought it as a used gun. It shot well, but I cast the chamber and it was " off" so I had it cut back and rechambered. I think it's 26-7 now. Still feels front heavy, tho I haven't been out to shoot it yet since it came back.
I got 2 new 6.5-47 30" barrels for it, but in medium Palma. I don't compete. I didn't want to weight the stock simply because I just don't like heavy guns.
As I got it:image.jpeg

I hope not. My BAT M is 32 pounds. Krieger 1.450 x 32" with a suppressor of the end to boot. Haven't seen any issues yet. Its a strong action bedded well. Works out to a mile on steel.

The mechanics of the barrel mating to the action is more like a disk with a bolt holding it against a plate than just a bolt in a hole. As long as the barrel is rigid, and they typically are, the barrel length should make little difference.

Contact BAT. Before purchasing my M I spoke to BAT and Lester Bruno. They both said the M is designed to handle 1.45 diameter barrel up to 34".

The M has a larger tennon than the MB etc etc and because of that the MINIMUM barrel diameter is 1.25. It also has 3x large bedding screws to support long heavy barrels.

You won't have any issues at all.
