Roger. Thanks for the infoCorrect, 90° or forward. It's pretty solid, they are more of a square pin on the 50s

I sent a email to Accutac inquiring about purchasing the new top to convert my HD50 to LP50. I don't see much chance of selling the HD50 now with the release of the LP50.
Your right.Eh, I wouldn't sweat that. The LP50 is shorter than the HD50, and an ounce heavier. Not so uncommon for guys to have a WB4 and WB5, or WB4 + HD50, just to have that opportunity in differing heights for various angles of fire. The extra height of the HD50 will be nice at King and Spring Canyon, the lower height of the LP would be nice at Shoot the Bear. I don't think the LP50 knocks out the market for the HD50 - it's a niche market as it is, and guys often have multiple rifles and need multiple bipods, so it's nice to have different heights to accommodate different angles of fire.
I’ll pass on that for an ELR rifle.Tubb.
Still doesn’t convince meView attachment 1613403Tubb and Nate both set their ELR records with them.

Just because he set a record with it doesn’t mean it’s the best.I will be watching for your records.

There’s far better designs hence why nobody but tubb uses it in the ELR world.
I’ll take a LP50 or elite iron over that anytime instead.
Once you try a high apex bipod on a big caliber rifle it’s hard to run anything else.I'm sure you've tested all of the available models, including the Tubb.
I don't ELR personally. I do know it seemed to be working pretty well when were shooting at Tubbs facility. Making hits out to 4400 yards. Even first time ELR shooters. I was impressed. Then the whole world record thing... But hey, what do I know?
ExactlyDidn't see one of those on the line last year at the Nightforce ELR. 360 Shooters, but didn't see everyone. Non at the KRG ELR match either. Doesn't mean it doesn't work, different tools for different jobs. I ran a Super Cal. The HD-50 is solid too. I'm going to play with the Accu-Tac WB-5 this year. Been VERY happy with the Super Cal though.
I really like my buddies hd50. My only complaint with it not being able to go 45°. A few stages where that would cost me. I called them and they seemed receptive to making one with that option. I ordered the wb-5 and it's at the house, I'm traveling. I'm looking forward to playing with it.Exactly
Super cal is pretty decent actually
Like mine.
You’ll like the WB-5 as well.

I’ve only gotten to a bit past 4100 but I’ve worn out a few barrels shooting between 2k and that.
But what do I know?
Tubb runs his bipod because it’s his bipod
Just like I run the fly line I designed for big rivers on smaller rivers, because it’s mine and I’m willing to accept the compromises it brings.
Put a good high apex on tubbs rig and you’ll feel the difference immediately.
Oh tried or own most of the common bigger bipods.
I wouldn’t even consider a bipod with a pivot position like tubbs bipod anymore on a 338 or bigger for ELR.
I know he holds a ton of records and if he uses something or a process there is a valid reason for it.You apparently don't know David. He would drop any product in his arsenal in a split second if he thought it would give him more advantage.
But hey... Obviously people are going to believe what they want. And do.
