The military required it when they used cerakote.

I always meant to do a test with two items of the same steel - like a couple of rail-road spikes - and parkerized just one of them. THEN, put them through conditions that typically would cause rust, and see just how worthwhile parkerizing really is. jd

I hope we get an update when (if?) the company responds. Nothing matches a good blued finish for looks, especially if in a nice walnut stock.

He sighted it in a few days ago and is shooting a match with it today. His final group was probably an inch or less. He shot at 100 yards and left the impact high for a 200 yard match.
