Heart Repairs for us "Senior" Folks

My heart dr said a heart stress test then the dye is the only way to truly tell what's going on with your ticker I had the vein scan 6 months before my minor heart attack it showed nothing but a hundred dollar bill coming out of my pocket
I'm surprised about them not doing another heart stress test on me to be honest with you. Guess all those scans and other tests they did showed them what they wanted to see.

ALL the people that I have known that had ANY kind of heart work that increases blood flow ALL said afterwards "I should have done this years ago!" We are living in the most amazing medical times, get it done before it's an emergency and someone is beating on your chest trying to keep you alive on the way to the hospital, where they WILL crack your chest like a turkey on TDAY. if you have it done now I'm guessing it will be done laparoscopically, couple of little tiny incisions and your on your way home.

If you have to get a pacemaker make sure they dont put it on the side you shoulder your rifle, if they replace the valve with a mechanical valve from what I’ve heard you will have to be on blood thinner from now on and have to monitor it

A mechanical valve will last for as long as needed but does require blood thinners. A tissue valve requires no blood thinners but will eventually wear out.

Don’t sweat that. When they do the cardiac cath they will see everything they need to see. They went in through my wrist as well as my neck to make sure I had no other issues other than the aneurysm.

I had stents I my mid 40’s and a triple bypass 9 years later. The stents are pretty easy. If they go in through your leg you’ll be taking it easy for a couple weeks to make sure the artery heals well. If they offer you cardiac rehab do it, you will definitely feel better after that. It’s all scary but the doc’s are really good at these things now. I should have been dead at least twice in the last 15 years. I am extremely grateful what these docs do for us and the gift of life!

You guys are the greatest. I appreciate the feedback.
This is my 9th time( I think) to be put under. I keep feeling like I'm pushing my luck. Top that off with what happened to Dad, and my usual upbeat glass-half-full approach to things like this is lacking. On a positive note, where I'm getting this done is a top shelf facility. I doubt I could do much better.
Thanks for the encouragement fellows. It's really appreciated.
