My 7 and 10 year olds had a chance to hunt this weekend. My 7 year old shot his .410 once, and
10 year old shot his 20 ga. twice. Both kids complained of ringing--did not shoot near each other, and were shooting at game. They both shoot rifles at deer once or twice a year and never complain.
I ruined my ears with a shotgun and dont want to do this to my kids. What kind of electronic earmuffs are kid friendly?? They will need to be able to hear me give commands, and hear each other, dogs running, etc. I have never considered that occasional shots while hunting were a problem until now. The damage is cumulative, so I think they need electronic muffs.
thanks for any suggestions marc
