Jeff Bingaman has been trying to outlaw firearms on public lands ever since he got elected. The NRA gives him a 25 out of 100. I have read several other bills that he has introduced, and none of them have been good for hunters or shooters. I suspect that many of these bills are part of this one, since Bingaman is taking the stealth approach.

It is an omnibus bill. I'd have to track down all the components.

Tom Coburn,R-OK) has been a good friend to shooters and hunters. He has said that this bill needs to be gutted of the noxious portions and pork.
