I just started reloading a Remington 260 tikka tac a1. I'm using Lapua brass,41.2 gr h4350, cci primers # 200 and 140 gr Hornady eld match bullets. I went to the range and FPS was 2608over a chronograph. Now, I came home deprimed and tumbled the brass, measured the brass and it's 2.021. New out of the box is 2.025. can anyone explain that? It was my understanding it should've gotten longer.

not..oem brass is small/short to make sure it fits. the first fire form to YOUR chamber can indeed shorten the oal

If you measured fired brass it will be larger in diameter and shorter than sized brass. Resize it and you will find it will be longer.
