Whatever you get, make sure you get the 90 degree eyepiece. It's invaluable!Hope this is a good place to post this. I am looking for advice on which model or kit to purchase, and where the best place would be to purchase it. I will be using it in barrels ranging from 20 to 30 cal.
Thank you,
Tony.
Check the clearance on your stocks if you are considering the 90 degree eyepiece. The connector is huge and there is not enough clearance on most of my benchrest stocks to use it. I would not buy the kit with this eyepiece if I had to do it over again.

My Lyman Borecam lasted about a year & a dozen or so uses.I purchased the Hawkeye 17" with the 90 degree eyepiece a little over a year ago. I purchased mine from Bruno's, who had a good sale at the time. To be honest, it does everything it was advertised to do, but having used it regularly during the last year, I now question whether it was the right unit for my needs. I have viewed images from a number of individuals' Lyman Borecams and am fairly certain it would have done what I need (i.e. simple inspection of the bore) for less than one quarter of the price of the Hawkeye. Just something to consider.
