Hawkeye Borescope Smart Phone Adapter

I was wondering if anyone has been able to find a solution of connecting your smart phone to a hawkeye borescope to take both still and video documentation of the bore condition. I know hawkeye has their own video solution that in total costs several thousand dollars for the video camera and PC interface, but I am looking for something less expensive and that can be used with an iphone.

thank you
dan

I’m interested in this too. I have not had any luck with it. It might be something that could be made relatively painlessly, but I lack the optics knowledge as to what would be required. Anyone out there know their optics?

Follow Up
Ok, so after considerable search I found this: https://www.optronics.com/smart-scope-smartphone-borescope-fiberscope-adapter.html

As best I can tell the product consists of two pieces: 1) the case for your particular smart phone, and 2) an optical interface to connect the smart phone case to the borescope where the optical adapter magnifies the small image from the borescope eye piece so that you get an upright full frame image of what the borescope sees.

Pros: Seems to work with any type of smart phone and most rigid or flexible borescopes: fairly universal and seems to fit the bill and should deliver the actual quality of what you see through the borescope that can be subsequently manipulated digitally on your computer if you want. Very convenient and would seem to work for gunsmiths and dedicated professionals/amateurs or could be a great purchase for a gun club/range.

Cons: It is likely to be costly for the optical quality necessary to reproduce what the borescope sees but would seem to be very capable of doing exactly that since it is all optical transference of the image to the smart phone sensor.

I will keep looking but am not hopeful of finding anything else given how much I have already searched. If anyone has one of the above devices or purchases it I am sure the community would love to know how it performs. If the price is right it could certainly be a more cost effective solution to that currently offered.

Regards,
Dan

I just received a price on these - "The price is $790 with iPhone 7/8 holder and $950 with iPhone X holder." Ouch.
