Hawkeye bore scope service

I went to use my Hawkeye bore scope the other day and it wouldn't light up ?
I checked the batteries, and the bulb, and it still didn't light up 'O,
I placed a call to customer service and explained the problem.
She asked if i checked it out all ways and after a yes reply she said she would put one in the mail no charge.
I had the new light in 2 days and still no charge 'O)

Was it the mini-maglight? I can't see them ponying up for a $225 high intensity light.

It was the mini mag light, but I'll bet if that other light flat out quit they would replace it also...... They have a good warranty.

Oh, no doubt they would stand behind their product.. They seem to be very nice people. I was just curious, as replacing a $225 light after a couple questions seemed mighty generous. BTW, I love my borescope. Should have bought one loooong ago.

This one is only 4 years old, and I can't believe I went so long without it.
Always figured it just wasn't necessary until I got to look at a few clean barrels with one. I use it more than I ever figured I would, and it's paid it's way more than once on a used gun deal 'O)

I've only had mine a couple months. Haven't had the chance to drag it into the gun shop to check the barrel on a used rifle yet but if and when, I will probably fool them into thinking I know more than I actually do. I am still learning ALOT. The best part is knowing when to stop cleaning.

In regards to the Hawkeye Bore Scope I am in the market of owning one. I was just wondering if someone could tell me the best place to purchase one, and what model would suet my needs. I do own a .17 cal this is the smallest bore. I also shoot 100 and 200 yard BR.

Thanks for the reply my birthday is next month and I had already told the wife i would like a bore scope. She said to get her the info she needed so that is what I am going to do. Thanks again Russell
