Has anyone used this fella for a barrel?

$309 for a barrel ready to go , chambered and all? Or did I miss something?
Anyone try a Rem/Age, how good do they shoot?
TYIA

I don't care whether they charge $50 less for this, or $100 less for that, I want to KNOW that the guy I send to is going to send me back a tack-driver. It's a lot of expense and time to get back a rifle that shoots "MoA" or something.

Well, you won't know till you try so last Thursday I ordered an X-caliber blank and had him chamber it 6 Creedmoor / 26" / Savage Varmint taper w/ 5/8-24 muzzle thread and a Savage small shank. I received the barrel on TUESDAY!! I have not mounted it yet but this thing is beautiful. Guess we'll see in a couple of weeks :) He did mention to me that he mainly stocks 5R rifled barrels. I did check the chamber to bore runout at .0002 TIR. We'll see........

Sounds very interesting, looking forward to your test/fire results and opinions. Thanks for posting this.

so basicly he sold you a savage dropin he made with an Xcaliber blank for 300.00 total? is that correct?

That is correct. Actually it was $333 with a new barrel nut. He even sent it with a 5/8-24 thread protector. Judging by his machine work alone, Anthony is the real deal. Skeptics that have been disappointed, like me, will be pleasantly surprised with the quality.

Have you fired the rifle yet?

And you can't condemn it either . Give the guy a chance to test it .

No judgement was made except in his statement above, Dale. I don't really care what he does, so condemnation isn't coming from me.

I made a factual statement; I type--and speak--very literally.
