Has anyone tried the 6BRA with 12 twist and 80 gr. bullets at 600 yards?

The last 80 gr. bullets that I shot were Fowler's FB and they were superbly accurate. Now it seems that Bart's 80 gr. BT bullets are the go to bullet for shooting up to 300 yards. Has anyone tried to stretch them to 600 with a 12 twist barrel.

No, but in an improved I did at 500.... 105's are better..... jim

Bart's 80gr Dominators are quite good at 300-400yds. Ronnie Cheek also makes some VERY good 80gr bullets. Both his flatbase and dual radius boat tails in 80gr are definitely worth a look too. JME. WD

I have shot them at 500 and they shoot just like a 105 does from an 8tw. I think they would be fine at 600 (if you do your part). My experience was with a grendel though so a bit less speed.

An 80 gr bullet out of a 12 twist barrel will not shoot remotely as good as a 105 from an 8 twist in the wind at 5-600 yards. They move more at a 300 with the same quality barrel. I am comparing both Barts 80 and his 105 out of two good Lederer barrels.... jim
