Has anyone tried Sellier & Bellot Large Rifle Magnum Primers...

I'm shooting a 284-Winchester with 180 Bergers, Lapua Brass, Tula LRM primers, and 4831sc. Has anyone had any experience with Sellier & Bellot Large Rifle Magnum Primers?

Thanks

Brad

I had a pack given to me and they weren't all that great. They seem very hot and the ES went way up. So I put the aside and used them up fore fire forming brass.
I hope this helps,
Lloyd

I dont know about the magnums but the regular LR work great for me. They have improved my ES and SD substantially over Wolf primers. Your recipe should give you good results, it's identical to mine!
I see this is 6 years old. Did you try them?

I use the regular S/B LR primer, which is the only one I'm aware of in 6.5 saum and 7 saum with H1000.....low ES....and groups that rival a damn good shooting 6.5 x 284. .265 moa 300 yards. Also shoots well in 308 with 185's. However, best ES and groups with 6.5 x 284 are CCI200.
I bought the S/B primers in 2014 and only used them in 308 until last year.

Shot the standard LR primers for four years in my M-N Open rifle and they were outstanding . Ran their small primer in my .308 TR until I couldn't get them any more . Laurie's study ranked S&B as one of the to three in the world . If the magnum primer is a little to hot , maybe the standard primer would be the ticket . But I'd get a bunch of them if you can , as S&B is no longer importing any primers to the U.S.
I'd buy a case of both LRP and SRP , if I could get them .
