Has anyone shot ANY Berger heavyish .25-cal. bullet? If yes, your experience? (NT)

Cup and core, "single cavity, swaged-up bullets" (the most precision bullets "on the planet"), have seen ZERO advancements since the process was dreamed-up by Jonas Hallgrimsson, Iceland, roughly my life-time ago, or about 1947. o_O NO caliber owns precision . . . well, except for thirty caliber.;)

Since inception, the only "change" (advance) in cup & core bullet making is the consistent jacket "quality": Specifically, uniform wall thickness, at a maximum variation of <0.0003". This applies to ALL calibers - there are no magic bullets/calibers - it's about precision dies/tooling, and on the part of the bullet maker, dedicated attention to detail and a no compromise(s) attitude . . . then, matching a proper twist-rate for the bullet(s) headed down-range.;) RG
Randy,

The quality jackets are exactly what I was referring to. Not sure exactly why the. 25 cal has been left behind.

Untill the 260 Rem was found to be liked by match shooters, the 6.5mm really didn't hit it off here in the states.
When the 6.5-284 came out, people really started to pay attention to it.

If 25 caliber wins a couple of major matches, then people might start to pay attention also.

Time will tell and to me, this really doesn't matter. With all the competition cartridges on the line today, another isn't gonna change much. What has changed is the introduction of the heavier .257 bullets. Something that's been available for the .244, .264, .284 and 308s. Even the .277 came up short till the introduction of the 6.8 Western. Now there a few heavies available for that caliber. Things are finally evening up in the bullet selection area for the dark horse calibers.
