Has anyone ever tried a Right Bolt Left Port repeater action?

Just wondering if I'm crazy for wanting to try one. Maybe I'm backwards, but I think I want one.

I guy at the last F-class match I was at was shooting with R bolt L port repeater (single feeding for the match). He really liked it. Said he like to be able to watch the round go into the chamber. It obviously worked for him, because he won the match and shot a 197 during one relay (he was shooting FTR).

Converted an LRPV to take AR15 mags in 20 Practical, does that count?
Its popped a whole lotta PD's.

I shoot LBRP in my Savage Palma rifles in F-T/R. It allows me to keep the rifle in my shoulder while reloading and it's a shorter reach to the loading port on the left so movement is minimal.

I like it....a lot. ;D

Yes, to me that counts. I'm sure that was a real pain to get to work with those mags. I'm wanting to use this for a varmint/hunting gun not for competition. Thanks for the replies.
