The action is a Bat B. Trigger is a Jewell BR
With a dab of grease on the each of the lug leading edges, I slide the bolt forward on an empty chamber, squeeze the trigger and lower the bolt so the grease isn't just scraped off in cocking. It has worked fine until yesterday.
But, this time when lowering the bolt with the trigger squeezed the result was Click Click Click Click Click? It seemed like it was trying to catch the sear but was just missing it, repeatedly. The trigger was depressed and it should have just closed with the firing pin moving slowly forward until the bolt was fully down like it has many times before. This occurred 3 times, then on the 4th try is behaved like it should and did for the rest of the outing.
Your thoughts?
