Has 647 Lapua proved itself competitive compared to Dasher at 300 600 game

As the title say its been 02 years plus now since 647 lapua has been releaased. The update in Europe is slow. So my question to our american friends is that in 600 and 300 game has it proved itself to be competitive as compared to shall we say a Dasher ?

I have shot 600 yds IBS benchrest for 5 years. A few of the guys have tired the 6 x 47 and had no luck with them. All were top ranked shooters. All went back to 6Br and IMP's. It will not out shot the 6BR, 6BRX or 6 Dasher.

I did the 6CX with no luck, and went back to the 6BRX.

I think MarkS has it right. I am aways looking at the eguipment lists and i dont ever see the 6x47L on the top. I have seen many finish in the middle of the pack but never on top. Of course you dont get to see every equipment list from every shoot, but i think it is starting to become pretty clear. I have a 6x47L and i would have to admitt, that it is my least favorite chambering. Lee

I can't speak for BR results, but Chet Stachecki shot a 200-15X with a 6X47L at a recent Bridgeville Delaware 600 yard match on the F-Class target, 1X off the national record.

The higher scoring shooters I know who have used it have found it can be realy good one match, then inconsistant the next. I have used mine for the last time and am moving to a 6 Dasher to try to get rid of the 1 in 10 fliers.
