Harrison Michigan

The Sportsman’s Club affectionately called Harrison Sportman’s Club will be conducting 100 yard score matches again this year. The dates are: May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14. The matches commence at 10:00AM and the gate will be open at 8:00AM. All are welcome to attend.

We’ll have to think of something special to do at this match if not for whole season.
He started the bench rest program at Harrison many years ago. His claim was that more Michigan shooters shot their first benchrest match at Harrison than at any other Michigan club. He called Harrison the Cradle Of Benchrest. A couple years after we set the program up at East Tawas he expressed to me the desire to stop hosting the matches at Harrison. East Tawas was going well (still is) and so I took the reins at Harrison for a couple years and then Dick couldn’t stay out of the “limelight” of hosting matches and so he came back to Harrison. At the end or near the end of the season he told me he was not feeling so well and that he’d like me to run the matches at Harrison again. I could see his breathing wasn’t what it should be and he tired easily. Little did I know just how much he wasn’t feeling well. We’ll see what we can do to keep things running well.

Harrison may just have to be my first BR match.
