Harrisburg Sportsmen Show

There's urinary olympics going on between the anti-gun mayor and the show organizer, the NRA. He's trying to squeeze them for a quarter million for traffic control and show security. I'm not going. The traffic coming off of I81 backs up for miles and at my age, I've got better things to do than sit in traffic. I wish they'd move somewhere welcoming.

Its been very busy. I have never had issues with traphic myself. I did notice the uped the cost to park though.

Lots of new companies. Almost every space was taken. The show is definitely larger then it ever has been. I am preparing a video and will upload it soon.

The Remington 200th anniversary history booth was very nice! Thanked all the vendors/manufacturers for the great products of theirs that I use. The Outfitters room was full and lots of great hunts to be had!

You did a really great job with your interviews, presented yourself in a professional manner with not a "speck" of Stage Fright.

Anybody going to or been to the Great American Outdoor Show? Anything new? Matt

I have attended once and loved it. I just attended the Western Hunting Expo in Salt Lake City and it is amazing how many new products are available. SPORT EAR, a company out of Draper, UT, is making superb "in the ear" ear muff without the muff. About $500 ($400 show discount price) but well worth they are great on the range and great for us older guys while hunting. A fellow range master at a local State range (I used his for one morning) and a fellow and they work great. I ordered a pair for me and the wife. Up to 29 dB NRR and it allows one to hear regular voice when shooting. Pop in and pop out. www.sportear.com or 866-442-5502.
